"CARING FOR PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT WITH WU TAO DANCE THERAPY"

Professional Development Day for Health Workers
A recent study conducted by Debbie Duignan whilst working for the Alzheimer’s Association of WA has shown that Wu Tao Dance is an effective therapy to reduce agitation symptoms in people with dementia. This seminar will look at what Wu Tao is, how and why it works from a medical approach and the alternative perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Participants will learn how Wu Tao can be used in therapeutic settings to improve the emotional and mental well-being and physical health of clients with dementia as well as other conditions such as depression, anxiety and other stress related disorders.
